What this policy covers

This is our privacy policy. It describes what we collect when you visit RealMoneyCasinoRank, how we use that information, and what choices you have. If you keep using the site, we'll assume you're okay with what's outlined here.

What we collect

There are two ways information reaches us: you give it to us directly, or our systems pick it up automatically.

Things you tell us

If you reach out through our contact page, we'll ask for your name and email so we can write back. Pretty straightforward. Same goes if you email us at editorial@realmoneycasinorank.com -- we keep that correspondence so we can actually help you.

Things we pick up automatically

We run Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation turned on. It tells us things like which pages people visit, what browser they're using, and how they found us. None of it is tied to you personally, and none of it loads until you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.

We also use Ahrefs analytics for search performance data. It tracks how the site is doing in search results, not what individual visitors are doing.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs -- IP addresses, timestamps, user-agent strings. These exist for security reasons and get wiped after 30 days.

Cookies

When you first visit, you'll see a cookie banner. Nothing gets set until you click "Accept." Click "Reject" and no analytics cookies load at all. We save your choice in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, oddly enough) so you don't have to answer the same question every time.

What we do with your information

We use it to reply when you write to us, to see which parts of the site people actually read, to keep an eye on security, and to meet any legal requirements that apply. That's about it.

Affiliate links

We link to third-party casino operators, and some of those links are affiliate links. Once you click through and sign up at a casino, you're dealing with their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over how they handle your data, so it's worth reading their terms before you hand over personal details.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We don't rent it out. The only parties that see any of it are Google Analytics (anonymised usage stats, and only if you've accepted cookies), Ahrefs (aggregate site performance numbers), and our hosting provider (which processes your requests by necessity -- that's how servers work).

If the law requires us to hand over personal information, we will. Otherwise, it stays with us.

How long we keep things

Contact form data sticks around for up to 12 months after we've resolved your enquiry, then we delete it. Google Analytics keeps data for 14 months before it's automatically purged. Server logs, as mentioned, go after 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold on you, request corrections if something's wrong, ask us to delete it, object to how we're processing it, or request it in a portable format. Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction, but we'll do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.

Age restriction

This site is for adults -- 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If we find out we have, we'll delete it.

Security

The entire site runs on HTTPS, and we use access controls internally. No system is bulletproof, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe from unauthorised access or tampering.

International transfers

Some of our servers and service providers operate outside your country. By using this site, you're acknowledging that your data might cross borders. We make sure those transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Checking back occasionally isn't a bad idea.
